Terms of Service

This page will be updated with the business's legal entity name, postal address, and jurisdiction when those details are provided by the owner. The technical terms that can be stated today are below.

Service description

Certline is a free, stateless tool that checks TLS certificates on any hostname you enter. You provide a hostname; Certline opens a TLS connection, retrieves the certificate, and displays the result. No accounts, no sign-up, no data storage.

Billing and payments

Current pricing

Certline is free. There are no paid plans. The complete product — checking TLS certificates, viewing expiry dates, issuer details, subject alternative names, chain completeness, and TLS fingerprint — is available at no cost. No payment is required, and no payment information is collected.

Planned paid offering (self-hosted deployment)

A self-hosted deployment option is under consideration. This would allow you to run Certline on your own infrastructure. This is not available today and cannot be purchased. If and when it becomes available, no payment will be taken until a payment processor is connected to this site. Any checkout form shown before that point is a demonstration only — no real payment is processed, no data is sent to any payment gateway, and no financial obligation is created.

Billing period, failed payments, and refunds

Because Certline currently charges nothing, there is no billing period, no payment to fail, and no refund policy needed. The following describes what will apply if a paid self-hosted plan is introduced:

These provisions will take effect only when a paid plan is formally launched and a payment processor is connected. Until then, the product remains entirely free.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Certline only for lawful purposes and only to check hostnames you have authorisation to check. Automated or excessive use that degrades service for others is not permitted. Certline is designed for occasional, manual certificate checks.

No warranty

Certline is provided "as is" without any warranty, express or implied. Certificate information is presented as received from the server and may not reflect the complete chain of trust. Always verify critical certificate information through your own tools.

Limitation of liability

Certline and its operators are not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use this service, including but not limited to reliance on certificate data or service unavailability.

Changes

These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of Certline after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

Jurisdiction and governing law information is not yet available and will be added when the business owner provides the relevant details.

Contact

Contact information for legal inquiries is not yet available. This section will be updated when the business owner provides a contact method.
